| Core Java Developer Location: 100% Remote Client: Financial Services/Capital Markets Duration: 612-month contract to hire Experience: 15+ only Our financial services client is seeking a motivated Core Java Developer to join their Order Management System Development team to build and enhance their core real time trading platform. The developer will continually interact with multiple teams including product/traders/operations to implement new robust trading features and improve on our existing offerings. A successful candidate has a keen interest in developing low latency trading systems in Java. Responsibilities Design & develop robust software solutions for the Order Management System Develops Core Java code from scratch working on a proprietary/in-house, low latency, financial trading platform for a high touch complex order workflow Order Management System Must be able to showcase excellent demonstration of data structure designs while analyzing how each data structure would function, and the run times associated Devise new algorithms and data structures for target environment and platform attributes in alignment with architectural patterns Create thorough test cases to ensure software stability and reliability Collaborate with traders and product team in researching and implementing changes to the trading system Communicate with operations teams about new features and existing behaviors Support production issues, including independently completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis. Requirements BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, particularly regarding changes to the trading system Interface with the front office including traders and sales traders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills; eager to ask questions; able to clearly explain ideas Strong collaborative and team skills Experience with JUnit testing Experience with multi-threaded programming Nice To Haves Professional experience in financial services Strong understanding of financial markets and electronic trading systems Experience with Equity markets and/or derivatives, such as Options Experience with optimizing software performance and reducing latency Familiar with real time market data processing Equities, FIX, multicast, state order management Keywords: business analyst Need Core Java Developer (No Java Please) 15+ only Any visa is fine but need LinkedIn and PP NO.
