| Job Role :- Sr. Network Engineer Need local Location : Milpitas, CA onsite Job Duties technical skills: Configure, deploy, and maintain network LAN/WAN backbone including Data Center. Lead and defend technical decisions providing network design justification, coordination, and identifying value and requirements for other teams in the organization. Communicate to gather requirements and evangelize the Backbone offering, and to understand gaps and improvements. Configure IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPLS), IPv6, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, SDN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, IPSEC VPN, QOS, MACSEC, VLAN, ACL, application flow. Drive automation & function as a Tier-3 escalation point. Monitor and analyze network with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, SolarWinds, IPAM, RADIUS, Netbrain, Splunk and WAN simulation as per customer requirement. Deploy and manage multi-vendor network environment including but not limited to Cisco/Arista/Dell l2 and l3 switches, Cisco ISR routers, Cisco DNA-C/ISE/Prime/ACS/WLCs, Aruba SD-WAN Silver peak/CPPM, Palo-Alto firewalls, and Infoblox IPAM. Manage Palo-Alto firewalls via Panorama central management and configure policies to allow/deny traffic as per organizational needs. Configure Cisco wireless infrastructure, maintain Cisco 5508/9800 WLCs and 3600/3700/3802/9130 access points. Troubleshoot network issues with Silver Peak SD-WAN. Check site connectivity, overlay/underlay tunnels, top talkers and slowness issues at respective sites. Led an effort to convert Silver Peak sites from legacy bridge mode to routing mode to avoid Single point of failure and asymmetric routing. Document network issues related Incidents with in-depth event logs, RCA and evidence. Create and document network diagrams with MS Visio. Coordinate & oversee the installation of new network internet circuits and test them before going into production. Additional responsibilities included creating/reviewing runbooks, proof of concepts, developing best practices, policies, and procedures, reviewing analyzing SOPs.
