| From: sanjeev, HMG America LLC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: ServiceNow Cloud Discovery Architect Location: Remote Duration: 6 months+ Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Cloud Discovery Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery for cloud environments. The role focuses on building a comprehensive discovery solution that integrates with multi-cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and automates asset and service tracking within the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless visibility of cloud resources and services, while aligning with industry best practices and ensuring compliance with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework. Key Responsibilities: a) Design & Architecture: Architect and implement ServiceNow Discovery solutions tailored to multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Develop strategies for comprehensive asset discovery and mapping for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. Ensure discovery architecture supports ServiceNows CSDM 4.0 framework, enabling alignment with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and Application Portfolio Management (APM). Create scalable solutions to detect changes in cloud environments and ensure real-time updates to the CMDB. b) Implementation & Integration: Lead the configuration and deployment of the ServiceNow Discovery module, including cloud-specific probes, sensors, and patterns. Integrate cloud discovery with ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) for holistic visibility. Design and implement automation workflows for cloud resource onboarding, updates, and decommissioning within the CMDB. Ensure integrations with other tools such as cloud management platforms, ITOM Event Management, and orchestration tools. c) Optimization & Best Practices: Continually optimize the discovery process to reduce false positives/negatives and improve discovery accuracy. Develop and document best practices for cloud discovery, including tuning configurations, optimizing performance, and securing cloud data. Monitor and manage the health and performance of cloud discovery jobs to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy. Conduct regular audits of cloud resources and align them with enterprise governance and compliance requirements. d) Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cloud architects, IT operations teams, and service owners to ensure comprehensive discovery of cloud services and components. Collaborate with business stakeholders to align cloud discovery efforts with business goals and requirements. Work with security teams to ensure that discovery activities are compliant with enterprise security policies and standards. e) Training & Documentation: Provide guidance and training to technical staff on cloud discovery architecture, processes, and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, discovery runbooks, and operational support guides. f) Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up to date on the latest ServiceNow releases, cloud technologies, and discovery enhancements. Identify opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, and automation to improve discovery efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: a) Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). b) Experience: 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow Discovery architecture and implementation. 3+ years of experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proven experience implementing and optimizing ServiceNow CMDB and aligning with CSDM and ITOM frameworks. Solid understanding of cloud-native services, networking, security, and governance in cloud environments. c) Technical Skills: Deep expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, including cloud discovery probes, sensors, and patterns. Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), their APIs, and tools for cloud resource management. Strong understanding of CMDB data models, relationships, and best practices for cloud asset management. Experience with ServiceNow ITOM and ITSM processes and modules. Familiarity with scripting and automation using JavaScript, PowerShell, or Python is a plus. Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery is a plus. AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications are desirable.
