Position: Scala Functional Programmer with AWS Location: DC and NYC (Onsite) Duration: Long term Contract Strong experience in Scala Functional Programming and AWS Job Description: Key Skills: Strong programming skills in Scala/Java8 + Play/Akka/Lagom Framework. Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related technical discipline will be preferred. Minimum 1+ years' solid experience in the functional programming language (Scala/Java8) and capable of learning new languages quickly. Strong investigative and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Data Structures, Algorithms, Optimisations etc. Experience in frameworks: Akka/Play/Lagom. Comfortable with team-based tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab's, Git, Jira.
