Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 Rate : $70/hr on c2c Note : candidates must be Local to Maryland,viriginia or East Coast Project Overview The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (O&P), a division of the Maryland Department of Labor (DOL), is looking for a Senior Applications Developer to be responsible for 25 boards, commissions, and programs for regulating the activities of more than 250,000 individuals and businesses across 220 different types of licenses, permits, certificates, and registrations. The Division's mission is to help foster economic growth by assisting our customers in a timely, professional manner while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public by assuring that our licensees have met a standard of expertise. Senior Application Developer to continue web-based programming support (including modifications analytical, testing and payment services) for its web-based Electronic Licensing System (ELS). Education Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Years of demonstrated experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree). Duties/Responsibilities Continue web-based programming support (including modifications, analytical, testing, and payment services) for its web-based Electronic Licensing System (ELS). Mandatory Experience Knowledge of PERL-CGI web programming language with at least five (5) years of hands-on experience. Knowledge of the JDBC connectivity tool with at least five (5) years of hands-on experience. Knowledge of using HTTPS with at least five (5) years of experience.
