| Direct State Client Role: VRS - Power BI/SQL Developers - TWO ROLES (748623) Location: Richmond, VA (VRS) Duration: 7 Months Client: Commonwealth of Virginia VRS Rate: $65-70/hr on c2c ON SITE REQUIRED: VRS Hybrid 2 days onsite per week (Tues and Wed/ each week required) Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Experience in writing complex DAX queries. Experience with MS SQL Server data modelling and schema design. Experience working in an Agile development environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team that includes business and technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desired Skills: Experience in Pensions Benefit Management programs. Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView). Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS). Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent. Other relevant certifications in SQL, Data Analysis and database management. Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university preferred and 5+ years experience with technology or data organizations required. This will be a contract position starting with a period of at least 6 months. To be effective, this resource would need to be available within the next 6 weeks. VRS desires to interview proposed individuals before final approval.
