Required All skills should be in the resume Deadline to submit resumes 3.30 PM EST Seeking a SQL Data Engineer to support our customer building pipelines with internal and external stakeholder direction. We are seeking candidates that can develop and execute ETL code and ensures that the data loading processes are reliable and data quality remains high. Develop reports, dashboards, and tools for business-users. Develop technical solutions to improve access to data and data usage. Aggregate and analyze various data sets to provide actionable insight. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -30% Writes and executes ETL code, primarily complex SQL script, but with a strong ability to leverage other technologies. -15% Analyzes and validates existing routines and communicates impacts. Assists with data transformation, manipulation, and presentation to users. -15% Works with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, Infrastructure Architects, and key business users to review, design, and develop data models and ETL processes. -10% Supports the Software Engineering team with data analysis and validation with extensive SQL queries. -10% Designs, configures, implements, monitors, and manages all aspects of Data Integration Framework. -10% Provides detailed guidance and performs work related to Modeling Data Warehouse solutions in the cloud OR on-premise. Understands Dimensional Modeling, Denormalized Data Structures, OLAP, and Data Warehousing concepts. -10% Defines Data Integration best practices for the data management environment. This position is a contract to permanent opportunity, offering career growth and stability. Although primarily remote, our client does have occasional onsite meetings (1x per QTR) at their Owings Mills MD office. Preference is local candidates. As a secondary effort, candidates in an approved state that can travel for these rare onsite meetings will suffice (approved states include: Wash DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, PA, DE, NY, NJ, TX, FL) Required Skills -Education Level: Bachelor's Degree is required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. -Experience: 3 years Hands-on experience with building data pipelines, database management systems, defect management and system testing. -3 years experience with SQL -3 year experience with any ETL tool (IE: Informatica, Ab Initio, Data Bricks, Power Center) -3 years of Python scripting skills -Knowledge and understanding of data exchange formats. -Knowledge and understanding of database design and implementation concepts. -Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. -Knowledge and understanding of data movement concepts. -Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
