In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of data across our cloud infrastructure while managing efficient data movement pipelines. You will work closely with data engineering, analytics, and operations teams to establish and implement best practices for data governance, quality checks, and migration across Google Cloud Platform (P). Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable data pipelines for movement, transformation, and loading of data across P. Develop and enforce data quality frameworks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Utilize P services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer for building and managing data workflows. Integrate automated data quality checks and validation processes within ETL/ELT pipelines. Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize performance and reliability of data pipelines. Establish monitoring and alerting systems to track data quality and movement, ensuring timely issue resolution. Work on data migration and transformation projects, ensuring smooth transition and minimal downtime. Implement data governance policies to support regulatory and business requirements. Provide technical leadership and guidance on P best practices for data management. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (P) services related to data movement and quality. Proficiency in SQL and experience with BigQuery for large-scale data analysis and quality checks. Experience with ETL/ELT tools like Dataflow, Cloud Composer, or other cloud-native orchestration tools. Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and practices. Knowledge of data formats (e.g., Parquet, JSON, AVRO) and data transformation techniques. Experience with Cloud Storage and other cloud-native storage solutions. Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and regulatory compliance requirements. Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker for automation in data pipelines. Knowledge of Python or Java for data processing and automation scripting. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Google Cloud (e.g., Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect). Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration for scalable data solutions. Experience in handling streaming data using Pub/Sub or similar services. Familiarity with data security and encryption practices in cloud environments.
