Please find the attached Job Description Job title: Sr Data Scientist II Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6+ Months Interview: MS Teams Opportunity for a curious and motivated data scientist to make an impact on our best-in-class risk products working with our fast-paced and cross-functional team of data scientists, product managers, strategists, and engineers. You would execute analytical and statistical projects supporting all levels of government in civilian services, public health, and public safety. To successfully fulfill this position, you must have knowledge in data wrangling, data mining, statistical methods, multiple statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques with the ability to communicate results to non-analytical audiences. You will support product development, research, and prototyping assignments. Responsibilities: Independently scope and execute projects under guidance of more senior Data Scientists. Develop milestones and project steps for tracking progress. Design and document coding requirements for attribute/feature product development. Extract and clean data to support analytic project work. Conduct analysis to validate output is coded as designed by other functional areas. Apply statistical techniques and work with large data assets to conduct analytic research and data studies, build statistical models and complete various analytic projects. Design, construct, and implement analytical components for products including statistical or machine learning models, AI features, and statistical measurements. Engineer prompts for AI features. Communicate analytic conclusions to both analytic and non-analytic stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fraud and crime analysts, product management, project management and technologists to execute projects. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: At least an undergraduate degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field and 4+ years of relevant work experience. Or a Masters Degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience. Skills and Competencies: Proficient in R, Python, or SQL. Able to select the right language to address the business needs. Demonstrates competencies in relevant Data Science and/or Statistical frameworks. Able to apply Machine Learning, Data Mining, and/or Statistical methods to build models. Able to execute standard coding for projects and processes to do the job successfully using company standard toolsets Proficiency processing and manipulating large data sets including merging, slicing, sorting, constructing new features. Strong documentation, written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical thinking skills Proficient interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with a broad range of contacts; from technical staff to management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure. Self-starter comfortable in an innovative environment with vague definition of scope. Detail oriented and critical thinker. Works well both independently and with cross-functional teams to execute projects.
