Must have experience with ETL, SSIS, Azure, Azure Data Factory, DQ, Power BI Position: Cloud/ETL QA Tester Location : Charlotte, NC (3 days on site/2 days remote) Qualifications Proven experience collaborating with business stakeholders and product owners to gather data requirements and articulate business cases. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Over 12 years of experience as a QA/Tester, specializing in data-centric projects, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. Extensive hands-on expertise in ETL/ELT testing, delivering data quality reports, and performance tuning using ETL tools like SSIS/ADF within multi-dimensional Data Warehousing environments such as SQL DB/Synapse. Proficient in Azure, particularly in data-heavy and analytics applications that utilize both relational and NoSQL databases, Data Warehousing, and Power BI. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Databricks, Blob Storage, Python/PySpark, Logic Apps, Key Vault, and Azure Functions. Strong experience in defining and implementing data quality standards for auditing and monitoring purposes. Deep understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, and database management. Proficient in SQL for data querying, validation, and analysis, alongside scripting experience in SQL and Python. Strong knowledge of data management, ETL processes, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools. Professional qualifications in data management are a plus. Expertise in functional and non-functional testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and defect management tools. A collaborative team player who adapts quickly to change and manages multiple priorities effectively. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experienced in data quality testing for engineering pipelines and collaboration with data engineering teams. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience in Scrum or SAFe frameworks. Familiarity with QA automation tools and frameworks is advantageous. Proven track record of working with technology, including API experience, and applying agile methodologies. Demonstrated capability to manage large datasets, bringing order and rigor to unstructured data environments while enhancing accuracy. Self-starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle competing priorities. Proactive problem solver with strong planning and communication skills. Experience in multi-functional and multi-year implementation or transformation initiatives. Comfortable engaging with senior leadership as well as handling detailed analytical tasks. Intellectually curious, innovative, and open-minded with excellent judgment. Knowledge of industry data compliance strategies and practices, including continuous integration, regression testing, and versioning. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Motivated to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the retail industry, with a solid understanding of retail operations. Certification in Quality Assurance, Data Engineering, or related fields. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and associated data services.
