| From: abhisek, source infotech Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Lead Endpoint Engineer Location : Remote Duration : 6+ months VISA : USC/GC only Job Description : Responsibilities: This position will play a critical role in the Shared Directory & Endpoint Services Project, with the primary goal of migrating OSU users and computers to a centralized, Entra-synchronized directory and a co-management capable MECM/Configuration Manager infrastructure. As a Senior Endpoint Engineer, the contractor will focus on configuring and optimizing MECM-based BitLocker management components, automating client notifications, and creating reports and monitoring solutions using Splunk. In addition, the engineer will be responsible for documenting all activities with site diagrams and detailed, easy-to-understand reports for both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune. Expert proficiency in PowerShell , capable of performing all tasks through scripting and automation. Demonstrated BitLocker experience integrated with MECM environments. Strong Splunk experience preferred; experience with other monitoring platforms may be considered. Proven ability to design, build, and extend distributed endpoint environments for large-scale organizations. Private sector or higher education experience is preferred due to similarities with this project environment. Familiarity with software packaging processes, as the engineer will collaborate with Software Packagers. Strong independent work ethic, able to lead tasks with minimal supervision. Exceptional documentation skills, including the ability to produce technical diagrams and reports for diverse audiences. C# experience is a plus but not required This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-impact project that will enhance user and device management across the university. Key Responsibilities: Build and configure BitLocker management integrated within the new MECM environment. Create client notification plugins that interact with available and required deployments. Automate maintenance tasks and develop alerting systems using PowerShell and Splunk. Generate reports and dashboards in Splunk to monitor and detect site changes. Document all configurations, workflows, and processes with detailed diagrams and logical descriptions. Collaborate with the team to implement and extend MECM/SCCM and Intune deployments. Enhance and automate orchestration workflows for device management using PowerShell. Support the transition to a co-management infrastructure, optimizing endpoint services for scalability across the university.
