Role: IT Infrastructure Technician Lead The technician will Install, label and test premise cabling, connections, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray, PDS conduit, and associated hardware. This is accomplished through projects such as new installations, life cycle replacement projects, cable plant installations that are compliant with commercial TEMPTES and NIST standards. Lead network survey, design, and installations under the direction of the U.S. Government. Conduct Site Surveys of customer premise networks in CONUS and OCONUS locations. Create/update detailed site surveys of customer premise networks in CONUS and OCONUS locations. Configure, install, test, certify and troubleshoot network infrastructure cabling. Ensure network cabling infrastructure is compliant with current NIST and TEMPEST standards. Test and Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues on NIPR/SIPR/JWICS networks. Updating cable run sheets and other documentation as required. Read and interpret system installation drawings, design packages, and apply that knowledge to cabling installations. Provide quality assurance by inspecting the work of subordinate employees. Promote a safe work environment and implement safe work practices.
