Role: Sr. Tester Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9947 Client: NY State Description Due to the approval of the revised SSP regulations, the SSP program is looking to allow for a self-service portal that will allow recipients to validate and review their program information within the new 10-day reporting requirements. In addition to meeting these regulatory requirements, the changes will help reduce a large percentage of the interaction with the call center and program staff by allowing SSP recipients to access their SSP payment and benefit information in a self-service manner. This will increase program efficiency and improve customer service as well as the accuracy of recipient payments. Duties The Tester will work closely with agency business staff, stakeholders and the project team to review and validate deployed development of requirements for the SSP Self-Service site and its associated business processes. They will also lead the effort to develop, communicate, and maintain methodologies and standards to promote a consistent approach to testing throughout the Project and in supporting/maintaining the System. The candidate of this position will be responsible for, but not limited to: Review requirements and develop comprehensive test plans to validate that implementation meets the clients needs Assist in testing of SSP Self Service solution. Testing Web Interfaces Testing Batch processes using Soap UI. Create / Execute automated regression test scripts as required. Automated Testing Tool experience (Microsoft Test Manager) SQL experience to query results and build data sets for testing. Create load / stress testing scripts as required. Analyze test results and report issues/bugs. Utilize Azure DevOps Mandatory Requirements Experience (12+ Years) Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 months of experience planning, designing, developing and executing test strategies based on software specifications. Experience must include creating test plans, test schedules, test reports, and creating test strategies. 84 months of experience planning, designing, developing and executing batch process and Restful APIs tests using Soap UI, XML and JSON 84 months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities working directly with business analysts, business and technical subject matter experts.
