Scripting knowledge with python and Bash Robot framework Expereince with C and C++ Experience in both manual and automation testing. Hands-on knowledge of Unix/Linux. Familiarity with networking standards and protocols (IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP). Proficiency in Python and/or Linux shell scripting. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to consumer networking hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points). Previous lead role or mentoring experience Job Description Job Title: Automated Firmware Test Engineer Job Description Join our dynamic team as an Automated Firmware Test Engineer to support Device Hardware and Firmware, and provide crucial assistance to manufacturing teams during critical issues affecting product quality or causing stop-ship scenarios. In this role, you will conduct in-depth root cause analysis of customer issues, document failures and resolutions accurately, and interface with Product Management, Core Engineering, and Technical Management Office to drive quality improvements. Additionally, you will represent the Support team in CAPA meetings, adhere to the companys Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy, and perform other duties as assigned. The focus is on ensuring data is transmitted correctly, on time, and formatted properly across our Mesh network, dealing primarily with gas and water meters. "Did we send X number of bytes from point A to point B correctly" Working on a Mesh network. Along they way they run into Linux, RTOS, and other devices. They need extensive neteworking knowledge to exceed. Testing communication devices, all the protocols are important. They work with 7 layer protocols. Gas meters, water meters mostly. Some devices with RF and celluar but for the most part manual testing. They deal with the backbone communication that carries the data. Focus is commonly with is data flowing correctly, sent on time, routed correctly, is it in the right format They do what they call "gray box testing" Trust is Contagious!!
