From: Santhosh, Dimiour [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Electric Motor Generator Validation Engineer Peoria, IL Long Term Contract Job Description This role is also called VALIDATION ENGINEER role Specifically looking for someone with electric motor and generator validation, if you have electric motor experience your resume will carry more value This role would be more on forward planning , validation, planning type of role doing risk assessment, what are the test we have to do on the component to make sure its going to perform in application Working with the test team to executing it to make sure they have right equipment to conduct testing Motor generator experience on electric drive side is must Someone got FMEA, DVP&R NPI programming knowledge is must Actual lab or machine testing is key is requirement, test experience in electrical drive, motor generator experience is key Positions Contributions to Work Group: Assess and plan work to mitigate risk in NTI and NPI programs. Work with design leads to establish an initial first-pass test plan early in a program (pick list review to document leverage opportunity, VPD and potential test load). Participate in or Plan and Host Simulation and Test Collaboration Workshops (STCW) early in programs, pre-DFMEA to create high-level Validation Plan. Communicate progress in Gateway Reviews including System Readiness Summaries. Quality approval of FMEA / DVP&R with design managers with key focus of developing standard FMEA's. Creation of Proactive Reliability glide paths. Standard work creation, updating, and socialization. Project long-term testing needs, including lab space, equipment and people. SME for my NPI issues meetings and issue resolution. HALT planning assistance but not ownership. APQP Oversight. Provide technical guidance and capture lessons learned. Position involves working in a team environment on challenging, new product programs that include electric drive technology and will support a 80+ strong team of engineers and technologists. Education & Experience Required: Bachelors degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum. 9+ years of experience (open to 5-7 years of experience) OR Master's degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum plus 7+ years of experience OR Doctorate degree in Engineering plus 5+ years of experience. Previous product development experience (design, validation/test or analysis). Technical Skills Experience with electric drive systems and/or components, with focus on electric motor and generator. Experience with structured FMEA & DVP&R process. Experience with NPI Issue resolution process. (Desired) Experience with CAT NPI Programs and Processes. Soft Skills Strong communication skills. Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex assignments. Excellent analytical skills. Solid organizational and facilitation skills. Disqualifiers/Red Flags: Does not work well in a fast-paced team environment. Does not handle multiple projects simultaneously. Uncomfortable communicating risks to upper management.
