| From: Subhash Tamta, Convextech.inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: SecOps Engineer Location: Hybrid (50% Onsite / 50% Remote - Columbia, SC) Duration: Long-Term Contract Visa: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder Job Description: Position: IT Security Operations Engineer Hybrid Work Location: Primary office in Columbia, SC (Candidates in the Upstate SC region preferred, but not required) Authorization Requirement: Must be authorized to work in the US Preferred Experience: Prior experience with state government healthcare systems Project Scope: The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will work closely with product owners, application owners, and network and security teams to deliver secure, scalable, and optimal cloud solutions for large-scale applications and infrastructure. The role requires expertise in both public and hybrid cloud models and strong consulting skills to interpret and fulfill client requirements. This is a hands-on role that involves collaboration with delivery teams and active participation in the implementation and execution of security solutions. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment: Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and applications, particularly in AWS and Azure environments. Automation Development: Develop automation tools for cloud security accelerators and intellectual property. Security Operations Collaboration: Work with Security Operations teams to build and manage SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technologies. Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve configuration issues across development, test, and production environments. Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure compliance with security frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PII, SOX, PCI, CMMC, CUI) by establishing effective monitoring, logging, and auditing systems. Zero Trust Security Implementation: Implement secure, zero-trust infrastructure in cloud environments. State & Local Government Security: Possess experience working on security for state and local government clients. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements. Required Skills (in order of importance): Experience: 5-10 years in Information Security and Engineering. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Maintenance: Experience in AWS and Azure environments. Cloud Security & Automation: Proficiency in cloud security design, operations, and automation. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Documentation Skills: Capable of documenting security tools, deployment configurations, and incident reports.
