Windows Server Administrator (Azure Cloud) 1+ year contract Location: Ann Arbor, MI (can work mostly remote but has to come into office in Ann Arbor 1 time per month) Client: University of Michigan Rate: $50/hour C2C Visa: USC, GC & H4-EAD LinkedIn Must This is a Windows Systems Engineer/Administrator with a Cloud Skill Set The main part of the role is Windows Server Administration. Below are the main projects: Windows Defender is a firewall product need this resource to help with the firewall deployment and if they have some networking experience with the CCP ports, that would be excellent! They just implemented CrowdStrike which is a Cloud Service. If the candidate has experience managing CrowdStrike, that would be excellent! Cyber Ark is an application installed on their servers and it is a PW management product, and they need this resource to deploy it on all the servers so they can utilize all the features it stores passwords. The big one is Azure Cloud (not O365) This resource should have experience hosting VMs in an Azure Cloud Environment. Additionally, Make sure if they have PowerShell SCCM AND SCOM. Healthcare Industry Experience doing clinical application support from a windows server perspective their biggest clinical application is EPIC Windows System Engineer Job Responsibilities: As a member of the Windows Hosting Services Team, you will implement and manage over 3,300 Windows servers in both physical and virtual (VMWare) environments. We manage multiple strategic projects, including Cloud compute/migration, service offering for research compute, Clinical application support, automation/configuration management and orchestration strategies. You will report directly to the manager of the Windows Hosting Services Team. You will propose, design, develop and support the Windows clinical and research server environment to provide tiered service offerings for mission critical systems both on premises and in the cloud. Install and manage Windows server operating systems, and support software / services in both Windows and VMware infrastructure. Support server infrastructure including blade chassis, blade and rack servers, and the associated Management services. Develop scripts / tools necessary to extend the functionality and automate day-to-day management of the services. We are seeking an individual with experience supporting Windows systems in a 24x7 enterprise on-premises and in the cloud, OS server deployment and automation, Security / Vulnerability resolution, and experience maintaining cloud platform infrastructures (IaaS and PaaS). Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience in managing and supporting a large environment with Windows Enterprise Servers in a complex, high availability, enterprise environment Expert level knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2016,2019,2022) Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, deployment, and management Experience deploying, maintaining, and supporting high performance Windows systems Experience managing Server Hardware Management software Experience in scripting with PowerShell or PowerCLI Experience with VMware virtual server environments and configuring systems for maximum performance and operating flexibility Experience in HA clustered application/SQL environments from a server build and operations perspective Experience with SCCM and SCOM Management Proven technical leader with solid operating system administration skills, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a dynamic, fast paced environment Experience with networking technologies, particularly as they pertain to managing Windows systems and applications running on these systems Strong security awareness Excellent Project management skills. Health Care industry experience strongly preferred.
