Position Title: Security Engineer - Infrastructure Location: Downey, CA (90242) - Remote Duration: 12 Months Contract Position Description: A Security Engineer serves as the security engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment; is comfortable with bridging the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision; works to ensure developers create the most secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users; and has experience with white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts. The Security Engineer will perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews; develop and implement technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities; and conduct research to identify new attack vectors. Skills Required: Security Engineers will possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks. Skills Preferred: Technical Proficiency: *Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)* Designing and deploying ZPA network segmentation to allow remote users to access only authorized internal systems and applications. Managing and configuring ZPA for multi-tenant environments. Configuring and maintaining access control policies. Integrating ZPA with existing security frameworks. Troubleshooting network connectivity and security issues within ZPA. Developing and applying access control policies. Ensuring high availability and reliability of the ZPA environment. Monitoring and maintaining ZPA performance for over 20,000 ZPA users. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional customer service abilities, ensuring positive interactions and support experiences. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise documentation and reporting. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to perform in-depth analysis of complex security issues and develop effective mitigation strategies. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to remote access and internet security technologies. Capacity to anticipate potential security risks and proactively implement solutions. Experience Required: This classification must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with developing and implementing technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years designing, implementing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Zscaler Private Access in a multi-tenancy and high availability environments. Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years designing, implementing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Zscaler Private Service Edges and Public Service Edges. Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years designing, implementing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) in a large enterprise environment with at least 20,000 ZPA users. - Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as a security engineer, or in similar capacity, supporting and troubleshooting in a large enterprise environment with multiple firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers with at least 1,000 servers and 200 locations. Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years supporting a multi-tenant network environment with at least 20,000 users. Education Required: This classification requires the possession of a bachelor s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Education Preferred: Security trainings and certifications such as ZCCA-IA, ZCCP-IA, ZCCA-PA, ZCCP-PA, Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) or CISSP.
