The role involves integrating GIS solutions within .NET-based applications and GDOT databases, and collaborating with IT team members for smooth deployment and maintenance. This position requires a strong foundation in programming and application development, GIS expertise, and familiarity with GDOTs IT standards and project guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities Custom Application Development : Design, develop, and maintain custom GIS applications using Esri ArcGIS tools (JavaScript API, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps) within SharePoint sites and GDOT's .NET-based infrastructure. Develop geoprocessing services, GIS web editing/mapping applications, and GIS web services to meet enterprise needs. Application Support and Testing : Conduct testing (performance, unit, system, integration, and QA) and maintain applications and services. Upgrade and migrate applications/services to the latest versions and system architectures. Documentation and End-User Support : Provide technical support and create user documentation for GIS applications. Prepare and estimate development solutions, design strategies, and work effort. Team Collaboration : Work closely with developers, architects, and business units, ensuring adherence to GDOTs SLDC standards and best practices.
