From: Sandeep Reddy, Sr-systems [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: DataStage Developer Location: NJ (Need Local Candidates) Duration: Hybrid Role Objectives : 1 Performs analysis and design of the business requirements and specifications as required. 2 Develops and maintains interface ETL processes between databases and/or flat files. 3 Works with various application team members to obtain the requirements for their development work. 4 Creates unit test plans and performs unit testing for the interface processes that they developed or modified. 5 Creates documentation for the processes that they developed as well as updates documentation for the processes that they modified. 6 Performs peer code reviews including verification of compliance with coding standards and ensures that the code they developed adheres to coding standards and functional / technical specifications. 7 Coordinates code promotion activities through all SDLC environments and validates that promoted interface code is working as expected. 8 Assists QA team with identifying QA test cases and supports them during QA testing. 9 Updates team leader and project manager with status of assigned development/project work. 10 Troubleshoots production issues independently and assists in timely resolution of incidents. 11 L2-L3 ETL Support. Supports weekend maintenance, technology / business recovery tests and system verification / validation events. 12 Keeps up to date on new features and enhancements in the development tools used by the team. Qualifications and Skills 1 Expert experience implementing and supporting large data warehouse/data mart, using Datastage ETL tool. 2 Functional experience using data model as the main document to design and develop the Datastage load process for a data warehouse/data mart. 3 Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional database concepts. 4 Experience working in all phases of a full project life cycle, including design. 5 Experience developing both server and parallel jobs running on a Unix platform against relational databases (i.e., Oracle or SQL Server systems) as source and target data environment. 6 Expert understanding of data warehouse concepts and experience implementing data warehouse. 7 Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 8 Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to write and communicate requirements to business and technology partners.
