Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Consultant Work Location: Atlanta, GA - Onsite Contract Duration: 12+ Months Role Overview: As an SRE Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure from scratch. Your expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and Kubernetes will be crucial in ensuring our systems are reliable, scalable, and efficient. A strong background in telecommunications is essential to understand the unique challenges and requirements of our industry. Key Responsibilities: Design and configure AWS cloud infrastructure tailored to our telecom needs. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes. Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and uptime. Collaborate with development teams to build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues quickly and efficiently. Document architecture, processes, and best practices for future reference and training. Provide guidance and training to team members on cloud and container technologies. Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Knowledge of network protocols and telecommunications infrastructure. Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, with hands-on experience configuring environments from scratch. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Solid experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. Background in telecommunications, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
