Job Title : Azure DataOps Specialist Location: Remote/Lansing, MI Experience : 10+ This DataOps Engineer role focuses on providing mature experience in production support and operations, transitioning and managing technologies within Data Warehousing environments. The primary responsibilities include: DataOps Practices : You will set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub, optimizing build and deployment processes. The role demands a solid understanding of version control, continuous integration, and infrastructure management. Mentoring & Coaching: Given your extensive experience, a key expectation is to provide coaching and mentoring to other team members, sharing best practices and insights on troubleshooting and efficient DevOps processes. Collaboration: Working closely with Data Warehouse teams and other IT stakeholders to ensure that development, testing, and release practices are aligned with company objectives and project timelines. Production Support & Operations: You'll be actively involved in monitoring systems, creating and managing tickets, handling emergency changes, and coordinating with engineering teams to address job failures or SLA discrepancies. Technology Transition: The technological landscape includes transitioning from SSIS/SQL Server to more modern tools like DBT and Snowflake. Your role will require ensuring smooth migrations and effective integration of these technologies. The role is designed for someone with over 7 years of IT experience, particularly in a DataOps capacity, who is adept at managing complex operations and guiding teams through technological changes and challenges.
