This full-time, hybrid contract position will focus on the implementation of the SmarTrip Mobile Application by providing integration and deployment support, including development, configuration, testing, and deployment of code to production environments. Project Overview: SmarTrip Mobile Application (App) 2.0 Project The SmarTrip Mobile app is a third-party developed mobile application available on iOS and Android platforms, designed for SmarTrip account management and WMATA transit product purchases. Initially launched in 2020 (iOS) and 2021 (Android), the app is undergoing enhancements to improve user experience and provide a more personalized, user-friendly interface. Key Responsibilities: Application Architecture: Apply architectural concepts to assist customer teams in developing application requirements within specific functional areas. Coordination: Ensure alignment with the clients Enterprise Architecture Framework, IT strategy, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), strategic drivers, and standards. Artifact Preparation: Create as-is and to-be application architecture artifacts, including system connect diagrams, application reference models, software requirements documents, interface descriptions, data dictionaries, and application staging plans. Collaboration: Work with data and infrastructure architects/engineers and software program managers to ensure the integrity of application systems and alignment with overall Enterprise Architecture. Guidance: Oversee the work of business/test analysts and documentation specialists. Security Training: Successfully complete mandatory security awareness training on an annual basis. Review and Assist: Review and assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in a related field. Application Architecture Skills: Exceptional skills in application architecture and software development. Communication Skills: Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Documentation Tools: Experience with Microsoft Visio or other data/application visualization software for documenting application architecture. Software Documentation: Proficiency in using MS Excel for software requirements documentation and familiarity with MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Requirements Coordination: Experience coordinating software requirements and working closely with development teams. Complex Deployments: Proven ability to plan and deploy complex custom web application programs and implement process improvements. Architecture Function: Experience performing the application architecture function from conception to deployment. Business Process Management: Knowledge of administration and architecture of Business Process Management. Visualization Tools: Proficiency in using Visio and Moqups to document relationships within application architectures.
