| Hi Job Title: AS400 Consultant Location: El Segundo, CA (Remote ok, but first preference is local candidate) Duration: 6+ Months Bill Rate $70/hr Hands-on experience in i-Series (AS400). Excellent knowledge of programming languages RPGLE CLLE including debugging (Interactive Batch both). In-depth knowledge of SQL400, Database DB2, AS400 components like - Reports, Display filesSub files, Batch jobs. Candidate must have prior experience in Production support nature of work as well as experience in application development, testing and implementation. Good verbal, written, and visual communication ability. Experience in Supply chain Manufacturing will be preferred Experience supporting a multi-application integrated environment. Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tool (1.) To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity. (2.) To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure succeful delivery of complex projects. (3.) To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations). (4.) To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations. Best.
