Role : Software Quality Engineer Location : Austin, TX 78744 Duration : Longterm JD: Test Strategy and Planning: Design, develop, and execute test strategies for both manual and automated testing across a variety of software products, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. Collaborate with product and development teams to define test requirements and acceptance criteria. Manual Testing: Conduct detailed manual testing of features and functionality that are critical or not yet automated, ensuring all edge cases are covered. Validate user interfaces, API integrations, and workflows across different platforms. Performance and Load Testing: Design and execute performance and load tests to ensure scalability and stability of software products, using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. API Testing: Develop and execute API tests using tools like Postman or REST Assured, ensuring accurate and reliable data exchange between services. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects in bug tracking tools like Jira, ensuring clear communication of issues and timely resolution. Test Automation: Build and maintain automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver and Java, or other relevant tools. Translate manual test cases into automated test scripts to improve test efficiency and regression coverage. Collaboration and Code Reviews: Actively participate in team discussions, code reviews, and design reviews, contributing to quality improvements and best practices. Experience: 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a mix of manual and automated testing. Experience with API testing, including creating and executing tests using Postman or REST Assured. Experience in test automation using tools like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or equivalent. Familiarity with performance and load testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, Zephyr, or equivalent. Solid SQL skills for testing data integrity and validating backend processes. Salesforce experience a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
