The ideal candidate will have a background in COBOL, extensive experience with database management (DB2, SQL), and proven experience in ETL processes, along with a track record in Policy Administration conversions. This role is essential for ensuring the successful transition and integration of systems within our organization. Key Responsibilities: * System Conversion Support: Lead and assist in the conversion of Policy Administration systems, ensuring accurate migration of data and functionality. * Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications utilizing COBOL, focusing on Life Insurance and Annuity products. * Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, specifically DB2 and SQL, to ensure data integrity, performance, and security throughout the conversion process. * ETL Processes: Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently between systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. * Collaboration: Work closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and implement system enhancements. * Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to applications, databases, and ETL processes during and after conversion. * Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical specifications, conversion processes, and system changes for compliance and future reference. * Industry Best Practices: Stay informed on industry trends and best practices related to Life Insurance and Annuity systems and conversions.
