Description:

Candidates Needs to Have:
10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, including design, implementation, backup, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Advanced expertise in AWS database services, with 5+ years of experience in automation using Lambda functions and Python (focusing on RDS, Oracle, Postgres, and AuroraDB).
Strong knowledge of high-availability database features, replication, disaster recovery, and live production schema changes.
Proficiency with AWS technologies (S3, Route 53, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Redshift, DynamoDB, Redis) and version control (Git).
Skilled in database security, backup retention policies, and database scaling.
Experience in database schema design, implementation, and script management across development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead database management tasks, including maintenance, enhancement, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
Implement and manage database automation using AWS services, particularly RDS and Lambda with Python.
Support business applications by managing access control, scheduling backups, handling data purging, replication, and performance tuning.
Conduct database creation, decommissioning, updates, migrations, and cross-platform migrations.
Provide technical expertise in data solutions, collaborating with customer and deployment teams to define best practices and architectures.
Oversee compliance activities, IP checks, and access control, ensuring database security and auditing.
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and manage alerts to resolve database issues.
Manage capacity planning, including CPU, memory, cache monitoring, and resource utilization.
Train and guide team members in best practices and new technologies, ensuring operational reliability and compliance.

Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain application database scripts and automate database maintenance tasks.
Configure and manage heterogeneous database interfaces for integration with middleware and applications.
Monitor database and server activities, recommending optimizations and recovery procedures as needed.
Research new technologies to improve database operations, reliability, and compliance.
