Experience with system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and log management (journalctl, rsyslog). Experience with data center operations and Linux OS build processes Performs daily operations support functions - including system deployments, patching, installation, configuration, maintenance, problem isolation and resolution within production, QA and development environments; environments include physical servers, virtualization, operating systems, and automation tools Provide incident response and root cause/mitigation to include security vulnerabilities, performance degradation and system outage analysis Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in automating tasks with Bash or Python. Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet) for system provisioning and configuration management a plus. Networking and Security: Strong understanding of networking (DNS, IPtables, VPN) and Linux security practices. Familiarity with security compliance (CIS benchmarks, security patching). Storage and Backup Management: Experience managing storage solutions (LVM, NFS) and implementing backup and recovery strategies. and this is for Spectrum Scale Admin Spectrum Scale system administrator Administer Spectrum Scale (GPFS) software for daily operations Deploys the IBM Spectrum Scale server pattern. Familiarity with storage technologies and their integration with shared clustered environments (SAN, NAS, NetApp, NFS, GPFS) Spectrum Scale software upgrade and patching. Strong grasp of high performance, large scale storage implementations. Defines file systems and attaches storage to the file systems. Deploys the IBM shared service for IBM Spectrum Scale in the Environment Profile or private cloud groups where IBM Spectrum Scale clients will also be deployed. Obtains the file system names from the File system administrator. Defines a file set name within the file system to allow it to share data among peers. Manages file set conflicts between deployed patterns.
