| Job Description: API Developer (Java Spring Boot, Azure) Overview We are seeking a skilled API Developer with expertise in Java Spring Boot and experience in deploying applications on Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust RESTful APIs that integrate with various services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Cloud Deployment: Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, utilizing Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure API Management. Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to integrate APIs with various front-end applications and third-party services. Testing and Documentation: Write unit and integration tests for APIs and create clear, comprehensive documentation for API usage and deployment processes. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize API performance, implementing caching strategies and analyzing logs to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Version Control: Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with team members. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API development and cloud technologies, and recommend improvements to existing processes. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Java or Azure are a plus. Experience: 3+ years of experience in API development using Java Spring Boot. Hands-on experience with deploying applications on Microsoft Azure. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design principles. Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure, including Azure App Service and Azure API Management. Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB). Knowledge of API security best practices (e.g., OAuth2, JWT). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to development.
