This is going to be a 6/10-week contract. It is also 20 hours a week to start and then will become 10 hours per week as the project nears its end. 100% remotely, but candidates need to be willing to work EST hours between 8-5pm. Thank you Position Overview: The University of Rhode Island (URI) is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Developer/Architect with deep expertise in the tuition calculation engine and financial aid modules. The primary focus is to modify and configure PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to support dynamic tuition billing for graduate-level programs. This includes implementing nine tuition tiersencompassing in-state, regional, and out-of-state categories with high, medium, and low ratesand ensuring seamless integration with financial aid and other systems. Key Responsibilities: Analyze Current Processes: Review and document existing tuition calculation mechanisms, focusing on the tuition calculation engine and its interaction with financial aid. Assess New Tuition Structure: Determine necessary configurations and customizations within the tuition calculation engine and financial aid modules to implement the new tuition tiers effectively. Identify Downstream Impacts: Collaborate with stakeholders (financial aid, admissions, etc.) to document all downstream effects, providing detailed estimates for required modifications. Implement Modifications: Configure and customize PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, developing custom code using PeopleCode, Application Engine, and other tools as needed. Conduct Testing: Perform thorough unit testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with end-users, especially in the financial aid department. Oversee Migration to Production: Manage the deployment of changes, ensuring adherence to change management protocols and minimizing disruptions. Verify Implementation: Monitor the system post-deployment, address any issues promptly, and update documentation accordingly. Finalize Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation of all changes, including technical specifications and user guides, and facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Extensive experience with the PeopleSoft Tuition Calculation Engine and Financial Aid modules. Proven track record of implementing complex tuition structures integrated with financial aid processes. Technical Skills: Expertise in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Designer, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, and SQR. Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases. Experience with PeopleSoft Query and BI Publisher. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 or higher. In-depth knowledge of financial aid processes (packaging, awarding, disbursement) and their interaction with tuition billing. Familiarity with project management methodologies.
