Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Job Description Writer to join our team on a contract basis. This role will focus on crafting clear, accurate, and compelling job descriptions for approximately 100 technical positions within our IT department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing IT-related job descriptions and experience collaborating with managers and department leaders to ensure roles are well-defined and accurately reflect responsibilities, requirements, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with IT Managers: Engage with IT managers and team leaders to gather comprehensive details on roles and responsibilities, especially for Intermediate, Senior, Senior II, and Principal-level positions.

- Review and Revise Job Descriptions: Enhance existing job descriptions to improve clarity, consistency, and alignment with company standards.

- Develop New Job Descriptions: Create new job descriptions for technical roles using company templates, incorporating standardized language and structured complexity levels as appropriate.

- Tailor Job Descriptions: Customize job descriptions to meet the unique requirements of various IT roles while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards.

-Conduct Research: Investigate comparable positions and emerging skills to ensure descriptions are competitive and attract suitable talent.

- Ensure Compliance: Verify that all job descriptions are legally compliant and free from bias.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in writing technical job descriptions, preferably within the IT field.

- Understanding of IT Roles: Strong knowledge of IT roles and responsibilities at various seniority levels (e.g., Intermediate, Senior, Principal).

- Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

- Interviewing Skills: Capability to conduct interviews with hiring managers to gather necessary information effectively.

- HR Knowledge: Familiarity with HR best practices and compliance requirements.

- Attention to Detail: A strong commitment to accuracy and clarity in all written content.
