Position: 100% Remote Cisco ACI Architect Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Month Visa: Open Job Description NOTE: Technical Skills: CISCO ACI Expertise Cisco ACI Fabric Components Networking Protocols (e.g., VXLAN, BGP, OSPF) Automation and Scripting Tools (e.g., Python) Data Center Infrastructure Technologies (e.g., Virtualization, Kubernetes) Cisco ACI Architect Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Cisco ACI Architect to lead the re-architecture of an existing Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) setup across multiple data centers. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing a robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructure. The primary responsibility is to ensure the ACI environment aligns with evolving business requirements, emphasizing micro-segmentation and automation. Duties and Responsibilities Leadership in Re-architecture - Lead the redesign of existing Cisco ACI environments across data centers, focusing on micro-segmentation to enhance security and network efficiency. Architecture and Design Expertise - Design and implement network structures that support scalability, security, and performance aligned with ACI principles. Deployment and Configuration Management - Oversee the deployment and setup of ACI components to optimize network stability and efficiency. Policy Development - Create and maintain automated workflows and policies to streamline traffic and application management. Systems Integration - Integrate ACI with other core technologies to enhance the functionality and interoperability of the data center environment. Team Collaboration and Global Coordination - Provide technical guidance to a US- based team (ET) and occasionally collaborate with a European team (CEST), accommodating time zone differences. Documentation and Training - Record architecture and implementation details, and train IT staff on managing and maintaining the ACI environment. Requirements and Qualifications Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas is mandatory: Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Proven Cisco ACI Expertise - Extensive hands-on experience as an ACI Architect with demonstrated design and deployment proficiency. Networking Protocols Knowledge - Solid understanding of essential networking protocols and core IP networking principles. Network Automation Proficiency - Skilled in using network automation and scripting tools to streamline deployment and operational tasks. Data Center Infrastructure Knowledge - Comprehensive knowledge of data center infrastructure, including virtualization. Excellent Communication Skills - Strong ability to document, communicate, and collaborate effectively with both cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Technical Skills: Cisco ACI Architecture and Deployment Networking Protocols Micro-Segmentation Network Automation and Scripting Data Center Infrastructure and Virtualization Systems Integration Documentation and Communication Soft Skills: Strong communication and forward-thinking mindset. Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
