Your role will involve using consultative skills such as problem-solving, hypothesis-based methodologies, effective communication, and service orientation. You will participate in planning, installing, configuring, verifying, and migrating IBM Z DevOps solutions, utilizing robust toolsets to develop and maintain z/OS applications. Key Responsibilities: Solve client challenges effectively by understanding their primary issues and developing solutions that enable true business value. Navigate through the phases of design, development, integration, implementation, migration, and product support with a sense of urgency. Conduct workshops to facilitate understanding and progress. Required Technical and Professional Expertise: Programming Skills: Expert-level proficiency in COBOL and Java. Application Conversion: Deep experience in converting COBOL applications to Java on Z. z/OS Fundamentals: Expertise in z/OS and its subsystems, including CICS, Db2, and z/OS Connect. Leadership: Proven ability in leading IBM Z DevOps services engagements. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with IBM Z and 10 years in solution consulting or a relevant industry role. Knowledge of IBM Watsonx Code Assistant for Z (WCA4z) is essential. Highly Regarded Experience: Familiarity with the following products will be advantageous: Developer for z/OS (IDz) Enterprise Edition (IDzEE) Application Delivery Foundation for z/OS (ADFz) Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI) IBM Z Development and Test (ZD&T) IBM Virtual Dev and Test for z/OS (ZVDT) Additional Notes: Candidates should have a LinkedIn profile with two references.
