| Title:- Cloud Platform Engineer with Terraform Certification Duration: 6 months assignment w possible extensions Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid 3 days onsite Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer: NOTE: strong AWS IAM candidates only - this is not a generalist role. Duration: The Opportunity: Seeking an innovative and passionate individual who can provide significant contributions in the design, coding, testing, support and debugging of software & enhancements to existing software specifically focused on Public Cloud solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure as code solutions and tools for our cloud-based systems and applications. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure adheres to industry best practices and regulatory compliance standards. Additional Info: AWS Cloud Frontend - VueJS is ideal - React is ok as well Good awareness of DevSecOps - or Terraform Cloud development is ideal Not looking for Python scripting Project side - this is a Cloud custom application they are building from scratch - there is a robust roadmap of 2+ years Building new feature HEAVY Serverless side of AWS (this is not Java/Spring) A lot of serverless AWS functions lambdas that are built out of Python based frameworks. Front line Node JS leveraging a lot of the Native technological contaminants The Work Itself Design, develop, and prototype cloud deployed services, APIs, and serverless applications using infrastructure as code (Terraform) to enable business capabilities in alignment with architecture direction and standards. Improve the enterprise Cloud Platform through implementation of custom preventative and responsive controls Lead the development and deployment of new features and tooling to solve complex problems at scale. Participate in an agile delivery process, and as part of that help size stories and own, research, and recommend new solutions. Aid in implementation of monitoring using various tools, collection of metrics to enhance visibility, & implement alerting to enhance service reliability. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation related to infrastructure deployment patterns and best practices. The Skills You Bring Preferable Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or relevant certifications Bachelors degree in computer science or related relevant experience Expert knowledge of application and AWS (cloud) architecture and related technologies Proficiency in terraform to configure and deploy infrastructure to cloud Experience implementing serverless and event-driven solutions Hands on experience with Python and boto3 library Expert-level knowledge of AWS IAM policy development for secure role provisioning and service control policies for enforcement Strong CI/CD process experience with tools such as Gitlab Excellent technical documentation capabilities (e.g., data models, process diagrams, high-level designs) Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts Must haves: ** AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional ** Terraform certification ** Service Control Policy - Expert-level knowledge of AWS IAM policy development for secure role provisioning and service control policies for enforcement ** Hands on experience with Python and boto3 library. (Not looking for Python scripting) **Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, collaborative team player, self-starter who will take initiative, able to manage bodies of work not just tasks oriented.
