| Position -: Production Support Java Location -: Anna - Ohio - USA Type -: Contract Job Description: 5 days a week in Plant Location - mostly 6:30 AM to 3 PM Shift. Candidates with at least 2-3 years of experience. **Key Responsibilities** Provide tier-2/3 support for Java-bas40ed production applications, responding to incidents and service requests in a timely manner. Collaborate closely with development teams to understand recent deployments and to be prepared for potential issues. Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and propose solutions to prevent recurrence. Monitor application performance, system configuration, and system/server logs to identify potential issues proactively. Assist in deploying application releases and updates in production environments, adhering to the companys change management policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of new and existing systems. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and support manuals. Ensure system security by following best practices and complying with information security policies. **Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in production support, including experience with Java-based applications. Proficient in Java programming, with hands-on experience troubleshooting Java applications. **Skills** Strong understanding of Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and related technologies. Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). Experience with application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss. - Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus Personal Attributes** Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to be on-call outside of regular business hours to address critical production issues.
