| Role: 750471-VA-DMAS-Sr Java Developer Location: Richmond, Virginia (Need Local Candidate) ABOUT THE ROLE This position will serve as an application developer for the DMAS Information Management Division in the design, development, and maintenance of Java/ JEE based applications. Production support for one or more agency critical applications will also be included in this position. Plan and complete assigned work, plan, communicate effectively orally and in writing; motivate and work with people; quickly adapt to new technical environments (multiple disciplines); manage multiple projects with dynamic priorities; be equally adept at highly technical and strategic issues/projects. Proven analytical and problem solving skills; creative thinking. Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly. Proven experience with multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix/Windows. Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain Java/JEE applications. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with occasional non-business hours (evenings and weekends) flexibility and able to prioritize and juggle multiple projects. Understand and interpret customer requirement and develop solutions to meet requirements. Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, program logic and flowcharts. Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Expertise in Core Java concepts, such as OOP Design, Multi-Threading, Generics, Exception Handling, Collections, Java Reflection, Annotation Required 5 Years Extensive practical experience in building enterprise applications using Java EE technologies Required 5 Years Experience in ORM frameworks, Configuration management, Build and testing tools Required 5 Years Understanding of relational database concepts, specifically Oracle, and software development life cycle Required 5 Years Experience with Production Support for mission critical applications Required 1 Years Experience in application servers Required 2 Years Experience with multiple operating systems: Linux, Unix, Windows Required 5 Years Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, Git Work Flows Required 3 Years Experience in IBM SOA products like IIB, ODM, WAS, WTX, MQ Highly desired 2 Years Experience in HealthCare EDI HIPAA X12 transactions Highly desired 1 Years Experience in HealthCare (Medicaid) Highly desired 1 Years Experience with Azure DevOps Highly desired 1 Years Experience with Frontend development including Node.js and Express Desired 1 Years No. Question Question1 Commonwealth of Virginia security policies prohibit the use of offshore IT contractors.
