Job Role: Sr. Embedded Software Engineer Location: Bartlesville, OK - 100% Remote Duration: 6+ months Job Summary: The Sr. Embedded Software Engineer will play a critical role in the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division. The successful candidate will be responsible for solving complex industrial challenges, leading architectural decisions, and managing the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) of embedded products. This position requires close collaboration with R&D teams and project stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality product releases. Key Responsibilities: Solve complex industrial problems, selecting suitable technologies, applications, and methods for new products and software. Make strategic architectural decisions for embedded products, balancing technical and business trade-offs. Oversee the entire SDLC for embedded software, including requirements engineering, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Execute complex engineering tasks using advanced, innovative techniques. Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and take on leadership roles within projects. Work closely with R&D teams to meet project timelines, costs, and quality objectives. Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and methods to improve operations and customer satisfaction. Act as a subject matter expert within projects, sharing lessons learned and providing guidance. Develop project IP strategies and proactively identify and manage risks within R&D projects. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering. Experience: 8+ years in embedded systems architecture and design. Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Embedded Operating Systems, including Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Green Hills, or QNX. Programming: Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded software programming. Protocols: Hands-on experience with MQTT, Sparkplug B, and similar protocols. Additional Skills: Familiarity with Node.js and React is a plus. Leadership Experience: Demonstrable experience in a lead position with a proven track record of managing at least one other engineer.
