Lead multiple teams of international Database Administrators for many clients and industries serviced by DXC. Management centralizes around production and project support. Act as technical DMBS project manager on large infrastructure projects including data center migrations and infrastructure refreshes. Provide priorities and technical requirements to DXC Global Bionix team to automate DBMS project delivery tasks and increase efficiency to our clients. About the Role We are a leading provider of comprehensive Database Administration (DBA) services, offering end-to-end solutions for our clients across various industries. Our services span from Database Architecture & Design to Database Operations & Maintenance. We are seeking an experienced Database Services Leader to oversee Operations and Projects. The ideal candidate will have broad expertise across multiple database management systems, with DB2 LUW experience being essential. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical knowledge, focusing on delivering exceptional database services to our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage either an Operations team (handling day-to-day database management) or a Projects team (overseeing migrations, upgrades, and major implementations) Develop and implement strategies to enhance service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and strategic client engagements Manage client relationships Ensure compliance with SLAs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards across all client engagements Drive innovation in our service delivery methods, incorporating new technologies and best practices Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and team development to meet client needs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 10+ years of experience in database administration and management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Extensive knowledge of multiple database management systems, with strong DB2 LUW expertise Proven experience in managing large-scale database operations or projects Track record of successfully leading and growing teams Strong understanding of database security, compliance, and governance principles Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with a wide range of database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases) Significant experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) Background in IT service management, Agile principles and methodologies, Scrum practices Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other data-intensive industries Keywords: rlang information technology Remote Opportunity - Db2 Lead [email protected] |
