Job Title: GCP Data Engineer Location: Sunnyvale California OR (New Jersey) Hybrid Duration: Contract Note : Only local consultants with 12+ Years of Experience only As a GCP Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll work closely with data analysts, scientists, and application developers to ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility. Responsibilities: Data Architecture: Design and implement robust data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts, on GCP. Data Ingestion: Develop efficient data ingestion pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into GCP data stores. Data Transformation: Create data transformation logic using SQL, Python, or other relevant tools to clean, normalize, and enrich data for analysis. Data Warehousing: Build and manage scalable data warehouses on GCP, such as BigQuery, to support complex analytics and reporting. Data Modeling: Design and implement data models that align with business requirements and support efficient querying. Data Quality: Establish data quality standards and implement processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines and query performance to improve data processing efficiency. Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and maintain GCP infrastructure, including compute instances, storage solutions, and networking components. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. Required Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python Experience with GCP data services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Data Fusion, and Cloud Storage Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts Understanding of data modeling and ETL processes Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and networking concepts Experience with data quality and governance best practices Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills: Experience with data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts Certifications in GCP or related technologies The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
