In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to support our data-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of our Big Data infrastructure on AWS. Administer and optimize Snowflake environments, including data loading, performance tuning, and cost management. Implement and manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and data workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data analytics and reporting needs. Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Automate operational tasks using scripting and monitoring tools. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cloud computing, Big Data, and data warehousing. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in platform operations, specifically with Big Data technologies, Snowflake, and AWS. Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure management, including IAM, EC2, S3, and Lambda. Experience with monitoring tools and frameworks (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
