| Hello Team, looking for Cassandra Administrator Location: Irving TX Client: [Telecom] Employment Type: Contract Passport Number Mandate for submission Exp: Min 3 years About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Cassandra Administrator to join our dynamic team supporting a leading telecommunications client. This is an excellent opportunity to manage and optimize large-scale NoSQL Cassandra clusters that handle mission-critical data for real-time, high-availability telecom applications. As part of a fast-paced team, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of Cassandra databases to support key telecommunications services, including billing systems, customer data management, and network monitoring. Required Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Cassandra Database Administrator (DBA) or in a similar role in large-scale, high-availability environments. Experience with managing Apache Cassandra clusters in production environments, especially within a telecom or large-scale distributed system. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Cassandra-specific issues such as data inconsistencies, query performance, and cluster health. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Cassandra architecture, replication, partitioning, and data modeling best practices. Expertise in using cqlsh, nodetool, DSE, and other Cassandra management tools. Experience with distributed systems, fault-tolerant database architectures, and high-availability environments. Proficiency with Linux/Unix-based operating systems, including command-line tools and shell scripting. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and hybrid cloud infrastructure. Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack, and log aggregation techniques. Additional Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to performance tuning and database health. Ability to manage and optimize databases in high-traffic, real-time environments typical in telecom industries. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work effectively with diverse technical teams.
