This service helps maintain high availability for developers, testers, trainers, and production end users. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one DevOps Engineer 3, hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of DevOps Engineer 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the above-named customer. As a key member of the Develops team, this DevOps Engineer 3 will (a) Develop, review, modify, and enhance CI/CD principles, (b) Install, configure, and maintain CI/CD tools & platforms, (c) Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline configurations, (d) Automate processes, and (e) Develop, monitor and optimize Batch Jobs and Operations. This DevOps engineer will be assigned to install, configure, build and deploy applications in support of Eligibility Supporting Technology applications. This position is central to ensuring these applications and services remain current across all development, test, training, and production environments. This DevOps engineer will also provide environment triage support. This responsibility includes both workday and night/weekend on-call support for all development, test, training, and production environments. This service helps maintain high availability for developers, testers, trainers, and production end users. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, monitor and optimize Batch Jobs and Operations. Analyzes the technology currently being used and develops plans and processes for improvement and expansion. Implements and enhances an advanced CI/CD solution. Develops, codes, tests, builds, installs, configures, and maintains IT solutions. Analyzes processes, and deployments and proposes improvements to streamline code deployments and minimize errors. Uses configuration management software to automatically deploy updates and fixes into the various production & non-production environments. Documents processes and procedures. Support Production and Non-Production related activities and issues. Support releases and sprint related activities. Provide enterprise level solutions for existing automation in place while developing new solutions. Develop proposal plan for approval. REQUIRED SKILL: 10 Year of Experience in automating full-life cycle of complex enterprise IT env. using IaC, CaC & CI/CD tools integrated into 1 unified solution supporting stand-up of new env or frequent mod to existing env in areas such as IBM WebSphere, MQ & Oracle products, AWS. 10 Year of Experience in Designing and Implementing automation solutions for scalability, repeatability and recoverability. 10 Year of Experience in Proven ability and experience designing and implementing advanced automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Terr grunt, Ansible Automation Platform, GitHub actions, Jenkins, Liquibase etc. 8 Year of Experience with one or more programming/script languages such as Python, Golang, Shell, Ruby, bash, shell, Perl. 8 Year of Experience with Containers and Container orchestration Kubernetes platforms such as PODMAN, docker, EE/OpenShift/Rancher And packaging tools such as Helm Charts and Customize. 8 Year of Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. 8 Year of Experience in designing and implementing solutions using AWS Well-architected framework. 8 Year of Experience in Excellent written and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED SKILLS: 5 Year of Experience in Development experience using Java, J2EE, Java Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, JSF/Struts, (Java Server Faces, Apache Struts Framework), XML is a significant plus. 5 Year of Experience with WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, Java, SQL tools (PL/SQL developer, SQL plus), LDAP, Splunk, Dynatrace.
