The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/Core Java. Note: We are not seeking candidates with a background in Hadoop or Big Data for this role. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using Scala. Utilize Java/Core Java expertise to support and integrate applications as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Document software processes and contribute to technical documentation.Qualifications: 3-4 years of Scala experience. 7+ years of Java experience. Strong proficiency in backend development with Java/Core Java. Relevant certifications are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Preferred Skills: Prior experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment. Understanding of financial market operations or financial applications.
