| From: Praveen Pasumarthi, Sligo Soft [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States (onsite) Duration: 3 Months State exp high priority Description: Task List: Perform professional-level research, analysis, documentation, requirements gathering, development and administrative support, and coordination tasks. Support the coordination of project meetings with business users and project sponsors. Create meeting notes and action items for all parties. Track deliverables and deliverable schedules. Perform data analysis, data cleansing, and data transformation processes. Create and maintain data dashboards and operational reports. Conduct software testing and quality assurance of newly developed processes, functionality and user experience to ensure they align with specified business requirements. Work Products and Outcomes: Contractor shall meet the following key high-level work products and outcomes: Evaluate existing documentation library to understand the scope/nature of project, structure of change, and the required number of documents that need to be updated. Meet with various subject matter experts (SMEs) to gain insight and background to various PCIS and ePlanLA projects to document Department goals and objectives. Elicit and gather detailed, comprehensive, and correct business requirements for core users and other pertinent staff. Create, design, and document wireframes and design concepts. Lead user acceptance testing. Provide end-user training and overall implementation support for PCIS, ePlanLA, and the LACPS. Create and maintain various project trackers (e.g., meeting trackers, action item trackers, etc.). Perform data analysis, data cleansing, and data transformation processes. Create and maintain data dashboards. Design and create reports for business continuity and business analytics. Other tasks as identified by LADBS staff. Performance Specifications: 10+ years of work experience in Information Technology or Data Analysis. 10+ years of work experience gathering business requirements, including, but not limited to: functional, user, and system requirements; creating application wireframes; developing process flow diagrams; writing high quality technical and user guide documentation; performing heavy research; and other business analysis tasks for software/SDLC implementation projects. 5+ year of experience as a project manager over a project with a heavy IT component. Expected first-hand knowledge/experience with various assignment, resource allocation, and monitoring tools. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint is required. Demonstrated experience in extracting and translating large data sets and relational databases. Skills required: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills; highly detail-oriented. Works effectively in a diverse team environment. Ability to communicate and present in large groups and team meetings. Ability to confidently interact with members of project including third parties, developers, sponsors, users, and management Possess good customer service skills. Excellent problem solving and follow-through skills. Ability to collect, evaluate and interpret complex information and data. Ability to create complex spreadsheets, dashboards, records and reports. Efficiently manage multiple tasks and bring deliverables to completion in a deadline-driven environment. Evaluation Criteria: Experience in Information Technology or Data Analysis based on past projects and positions held.
