As a Front End, you are expected to perform the following general duties: Provide Design and Development Support Understand application layering. Be responsible for approaches for integrating backend services with user interface. Work closely with the Product Manager on designing web pages to ensure the best User Experience. Work closely with team members from across Mastercard to identify functional and system requirements. All About you The ideal candidate for this position is expected to: Have experience in developing UI using Modern Web Development frameworks such as Angular, React, NodeJS, JavaScript, and Typescript. Possess the ability to write secure code in Angular, JavaScript and Typescript. Have at least 5+ years of experience working as an Angular developer. Have knowledge of multiple front-end languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and their libraries Write cross-browser compatible code. Have an excellent oral and written communication. Be familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Have demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new technologies. Be a strong, confident communicator to communicate your ideas and thoughts to the relevant stakeholders. Last but not the least, have a bias for action. Optimize Applications for Maximum Speed Optimize code and assets to ensure fast load times and smooth performance. Utilize techniques like code splitting, lazy loading, and minification to reduce load times. Employ caching strategies and CDN (Content Delivery Network) integration to enhance speed. Building Reusable Codes Develop modular, reusable code components to streamline development and maintenance. Utilize front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular to create scalable and reusable UI components. Implement design patterns such as MVC (Model-View-Controller) or MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) to ensure code reusability. Designing New Applications and Websites Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups into interactive web applications. Ensure designs are visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive across various devices and screen sizes. Implement design principles such as typography, color theory, and layout to create engaging user interfaces. Develop New User-Facing Features Write clean, efficient code to implement new features and functionalities based on project requirements. Incorporate interactivity, animations, and transitions to enhance user engagement and usability. Conduct thorough testing to ensure feature compatibility and responsiveness across different browsers and devices. Optimizing the User Experience Focus on improving user experience by optimizing UI elements, navigation flows, and interaction patterns. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to identify pain points and areas for improvement. Iterate on designs and features based on user feedback to enhance overall user satisfaction. Search Engine Optimization Implement SEO best practices such as semantic HTML markup, meta tags, and structured data to improve search engine visibility. Optimize website performance and accessibility to ensure search engines can crawl and index content effectively. Collaborate with SEO specialists to integrate SEO strategies into front-end development processes. Hands-on Experience with Markup Language Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to create dynamic and interactive web experiences. Stay updated with the latest HTML and CSS specifications, techniques, and best practices. Use preprocessors like SASS or LESS to streamline CSS development and maintain code consistency. Web Performance Optimization Monitor and analyze website performance metrics using tools like Lighthouse or Google PageSpeed Insights. Identify and address performance bottlenecks such as render-blocking resources, large asset sizes, and inefficient code. Implement performance optimization techniques like image compression, lazy loading, and server-side rendering.
