Senior NLP Scientist Location : San Diego, CA(Remote) Job Description: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in NLP techniques, specifically LLMs and promptengineering. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including AI leads, ML engineers, and product owners, to develop cutting-edge solutions thatimpact millions of lives worldwide. The Senior NLP Scientist will directly report to the Head of AI. Responsibilities: Design, train, and fine-tune large language models for applications in clinical and medical contexts. Develop: optimized prompts and tasks for LLMs to achieve desired outputs for healthcare applications. Conduct: state-of-the-art research in NLP, exploring advancements in language modeling, transfer learning, and domain-specific adaptation. Design and implement efficient NLP pipelines for scalable deployment of LLM-based solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including ML engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to align NLP solutions with business objectives. Oversee data preprocessing, annotation, and augmentation to ensure high-quality datasets for training NLP models. Prepare research papers, patents, and technical documentation to share findings with stakeholders and external audiences. Qualifications: Ph.D. or master s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with a specialization in NLP. Minimum of 5 years of experience in NLP, with a focus on developing and deploying large language models. Expertise in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, and/or TensorFlow. Proven experience with language models such as GPT, BERT, T5, or similar architectures. Knowledge of NLP-specific libraries and tools (e.g., SpaCy, NLTK, or OpenAI APIs). Strong understanding of transfer learning, domain adaptation, and model fine-tuning technique Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindsetExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
