NEED INDEPENDENT OR W2 CANDIDATE Alteryx Data Engineer 6 month contract 100% remote team is split between PST/CST so some flex 100% remote, USC/GC Project Description The Data Engineering Consultant will partner closely with the Sr. Data Engineer and Technical Product Manager to design and develop workflows in Alteryx to extract, transform and load data from our legacy CRM into Salesforce. The ideal candidate will proactively collaborate and strive to fully automate the data migration efforts currently performed manually and assist Sr. Data Engineer with any Alteryx related challenges. *Data mapping between the two systems has already been done theyre coming in to automate the various manual pieces. Duties/Day to Day Overview Quickly analyze and understand previously developed SQL Logic and data workflows for refinement or enhancement Design and develop for dynamic input from synchronous import processing, using success and error logging from Salesforce Dataloader or Connector equivalent to meet project deadlines Test and validate workflows and iterate on development as necessary Work in partnership with other IT team members to explore workflow parallel processing Assist Sr. Engineer with supporting and enhancing ETL/ELT pipelines that map, scrub and transform data from various sources to various targets Use internal tools to track and document work and to communicate with project teams (Jira/Confluence, O365) Attend daily stand-ups and regular sprint meetings Top Requirements (Must haves) 8+ years of experience in enterprise SQL data development with advanced expertise in Alteryx for source to target transformations Deep knowledge and practice in Database or CRM systems (SQL Server is required) Advanced T-SQL Query Scripting and Performance Tuning Proficient with MS Office and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) Soft Skills Must have strong time management skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills to collaborate with others. Must be able to work independently to solve complex data transformation issues.
