The ideal candidate will work independently on block-level and IP-level analog layout design and will be responsible for coordinating closely with both circuit designers and other layout engineers. Working with remote teams, the candidate must have excellent communication skills and experience using Webex and email for layout discussions. Responsibilities: Perform layout design for high-frequency analog and high-speed custom digital circuits, with a focus on parasitic minimization. Implement design requirements such as power/ground nets, device matching, and sensitive signal routing. Demonstrate a solid understanding of design hierarchies and how layout decisions affect various integration levels. Apply ESD concepts effectively, particularly in guard ring usage for design isolation. Communicate actively with the layout team, sharing useful insights and asking pertinent questions. Utilize Cadence Virtuoso and calibre LVS and DRC tools for layout tasks. Use basic Unix scripting as needed for layout efficiency. Qualifications: Minimum of 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Analog or RF layout design. Extensive experience with analog modules such as SerDes, ADCs/DACs, and PLLs. Expertise in deep sub-micron processes for analog layout and knowledge of fabrication processes. Experience with FinFet technologies, particularly in 7nm and 5nm process nodes. Strong proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and calibre LVS/DRC checking tools. Knowledge of Unix scripting is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
