The required skill is same as my old DevOps requirement. Overview: The DevOps Engineer will be part of an industry leading IT team working in a fast-paced environment at Pacific Dental Services. Under the guidance of the Platform engineering Manager, this individual will be responsible for day-to-day tasks functioning primarily as mid to upper tier support, assisting in software application deployments, source control management, and script automation. The DevOps Engineer is also responsible for ensuring software applications and resources are available to users. Lead Team by designing and building models for a world class team, leading with a continuous improvement mindset. Balancing among efficiency, streamlining functions, and ensuring long term sustainability. Create Infrastructure Requirement Documents for applications deployed in the enterprise. Responsible for all application deployments to multiple environments (development, testing, staging, and production) on a scheduled release calendar. Analyze hardware capacities of build infrastructure and provide recommendations to the Management team for improvements. Setup server and application configuration automation using Infrastructure as Code. Lead the DevOps discipline and roadmap as defined by the DevOps Manager and be responsible for managing all server/infrastructure related issues. Anticipate, identify, and recommend solutions for operational problems by monitoring system performance and studying operating targets. Design solutions with practical knowledge of both on premise and cloud-based solutions. Onboard and troubleshoot critical application related issues in coordination with the Systems and Network teams. Provide after-hours on-call deployment support and handle support issues. Participate in walkthrough and defect report meetings periodically using JIRA tickets to report, update and analyze the defect. Build/Enhance automated interfaces between tools, such as repositories/ticketing tools/testing tools, to build baseline management databases and interfaces as well as assist with other build automation tasks. Required: 5 years+ of experience working in DevOps. Strong skills in communication, both written and verbal. Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform in AWS * this is a must have Experience with source control systems using GitLab, GIT, BitBucket, or AWS CodeDeploy. Experience with scripting automation using Python, Perl, PHP, SQL, C#, Terraform, Powershell, .Net, Bash, VBScript, or JSON. Experience with configuration management tools using Puppet and VMWare CLI.
