| Role: Middleware Engineer Location: Reston, VA (Onsite) Need Local candidate Duration :: Long term MOI: Skype A Senior Middleware Engineer is required to have hands-on production experience in supporting a focused IBM production environment. Candidates must demonstrate proven experience with server installation from start to finish and should have experience interacting with IBM vendors. In addition, the role involves working with MQ and performing environment health checks for server performance, as well as resolving operational issues. The selected candidate will ensure smooth production for server installations and resolve issues when frameworks experience downtime. Required Skills 5+ years as an Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in the IBM technology stack and prior experience with server installations from inception to completion. Ability to provide health check status reporting and identify/resolve any infrastructure production issues. Prior experience working with IBM vendors. Extensive knowledge of MQ Series. Extensive SDLC experience with some development or systems programming experience. Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting mid-tier/infrastructure issues (e.g., networking, routing & switching, firewalls). Basic knowledge of BitBucket and AWS Cloud. Strong verbal and written communication skills critical for this role. Ability to facilitate technical requirements gathering and design sessions. Collaborative skills to interpret business and technical needs. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work products critical. Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers and vendors critical. Strong analytical and documentation skills. This role demands a highly organized and detail-oriented engineer who can handle complex technical environments while maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.
